Medu Vada
Medu vada is a popular South Indian breakfast recipe.it is good combination with sambar ,coconut chutney.it mostly available in all south indian hotels.
Ingredients:
1 bowl of soaked urad dal(soak 2 to 3 hours)
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
2 green chilies chopped
2 teaspoons chopped coriander
5 to 7 curry leaves chopped
Salt
Oil for deep-frying
Preparation of medu vada:
Grind soaked urad dal,green chilies,curry leaves,black pepper to thick smooth paste(vada consistency) by adding little water in it.
Transfer the paste into bowl add chopped coriander leaves,salt .mix well.
Now,heat oil for deep-frying in kadai.
Wet your palms and take equal portions of batter on palm.
Shape them in a form of vada and make a hole in the center.
Place these vadas in kadai.in a medium flame cook the medu vadas both sides until it turns to golden colour.
Now,drain on an absorbent paper.
Finally,serve hot with sambar or coconut chutney.
