CHINTHAPANDU PULIHORA

Pulihora is the traditional rice recipe of Andhra it is made up of Tamarind pulp as main ingredient.

Ingredients::::



  • Tamarind pulp           -    7 to 8 full spoons
  • Cooked rice               -    2 cups
  • Oil                           -    4  to 5 spoons
  • Mustard seeds(avalu) -    1/2 spoon
  • Red chilly                  -    5
  • Peanuts                    -    2 spoons
  • Chanadal                 -    1 spoons
  • Turmeric                   -    1/2 spoon
  • Hing                        -     small amount
  • Curry leaves              -    5 leaves
  • Salt                         -     as per taste.


Procedure:::

  • First we have to soak the tamarind for 10 minutes and extract the pulp from it.
  • Then heat the oil and add mustard seeds,chanadal,peanuts,turmeric,curry leaves.
  • Fry it for 3 minutes
  • Then add tamarind pulp,salt,hing,red chilies and cook until it becomes thick.
  • Now take two bowls of cooked rice in a wide plate .
  • And add the tamarind paste to the rice then mix well.
  • Now our tasty traditional tamarind rice is ready serve...
