Tamarind Chutney(chintapandu pachadi)

Mostly in south a full vegetarian meal is imprefect without a pickle or chutney.
Tamarind chutney is one of mouthwatering chutney.
Now,you will now how to prepare this chutney and it is very easy  to prepare....


Ingredients::

Big lemon size Tamarind.

9 to 12 dry red chilies(depending upon how spicy you want).

1 tsp Coriander seeds.

1 teaspoon cumin seeds.

1 teaspoon mustard seeds.

1 tsp chana dal.

1 tsp urad dal.

5 to 8 Curry leaves.

2 to 3 teaspoons oil.

1 small onion chopped (optional).



Preparation::


First you have to soak Tamarind in water for 10 minutes.

Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan add coriander seeds,cumin seeds,dry red chilies for 2 to 3 min .

Add all these fried ingredients in a mixer and grind it coarsely.

Then add soaked tamarind and grind well.

Now heat  1 tsp oil in the same pan add mustard seeds,chana dal,urad dal,curry leaves,1 dry red chilly and saute it for 3 to 5 min.

Add add the grinded chutney into the pan and mix.

If you want add onion pieces you can add to the chutney.


Finally our tamarind chutney is ready it is good with rice ...
