Vankaya Pappu
Ingredients:
3/4 cup of toor dal (kandipappu) soaked into water
3 to 4 brinjals cut into pieces
Small amount of tamarind
2 medium size tomatoes cut into pieces
3 to 4 green chilies
7 curry leaves
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 onion chopped into pieces
Oil 4 to 5 teaspoons
Salt as per taste
Preparation:
Take a pressure cooker add soaked dal and add brinjal pieces ,half onion pieces,tomato pieces,small amount of tamarind,green chilies pieces ,turmeric powder,salt ,11/2 cup of water.
And close the lid put the whistle .
Cook it upto 4 to 5 whistles.
Then heat the oil in the pan add mustard seeds,some onion pieces,curry leaves and cook until onion becomes golden colour.
Now ,add this mixture in the pressure cooker and mix cook for 1 min.
