Vegetable cutlet

Vegetable cutlet is a popular snack item .it is good in taste and easy to prepare in home.


Ingredients:: 


Potatoes(medium)                       5

Medium size carrot                       1

Capsicum(small)                          1

French beans                               4

Beetroot(small)                            1

Green peas                                  1/2 cup

Ginger -green chilies paste             2 to 3 teaspoons

Bread crumbs                                1/2 cup

Corn flour                                     1/4 cup

Chopped coriander                         1/4 cup

Lemon juice                                  2 to 3 spoons 

Chaat masala                                2 tea spoons

Oil for shallow frying 

salt to taste




Preparation::


  • First we have to boil potatoes, green peas .
  • Then cut the french beans,capsicum into small pieces and also grate carrot and beetroot.
  • Now take a bowl add boiled potatoes and mash it.
  • Add boiled green peas ,chopped french beans,capsicum,grated carrot,beetroot.
  • Mix lightly.
  • Add ginger-green chilies paste,salt,corn flour,chopped coriander,lemon juice,chaat masala and mix well.
  • Then divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into balls.
  • Flatten the balls slightly.(cutlet shape)
  • Heat the non stick tawa ,pour a little oil on it  .
  • Then spread the bread crumbs in a plate.
  • Now roll the cutlets in bread crumbs and place them on the hot tawa .
  • Shallow fry on medium heat,turning sides,till both the sides are fry.
  • Drain the cutlets on absorbent paper to absorb excess oil.
  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
