Aloo(Potato) -Carrot Curry

Potato-Carrot curry is spicy and gravy recipe for chapati,roti and it is also good for rice also..


Ingredients::


Potatoes                      3

Carrot                          2

Onion(big)                    1

Green chilies                 4

Tomato                         1

Ginger-garlic paste         3 tsp

Mustard seeds               1/4 tsp

Turmeric powder             2 pinches

Red chilly powder            1 tsp

Garam masala                1/2 tsp

Curry leaves                   4 leaves

Oil                                4 to 5 tsp

Water                            1 cup

Coriander                       for garnish

Salt                              as per taste


Preparation::



  • First,we have to boil the potatoes and carrot in a pressure cooker upto 3 to 4 whistles.
  • Then peel off the aloo and cut aloo,carrot into pieces
  • Heat oil in the pan add mustard seeds after 2 secs add chopped onion,green chilies curry leaves and fry it for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and fry it 2 minutes then add ginger -garlic paste,turmeric,red chilly powder .
  • Mix well and allow it cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Add aloo and carrot mix well.
  • Then add 1 cup of water. mix well and close it with lid 5 to 8 minutes.
  • Finally add garam masala mix well and then garnish with coriander.
  • yummy and spicy Aloo-Carrot curry is ready.......
